- The following is a list of the farm and domestic animals at home - cows, horses, calves, pigs, dogs, cats, hens, ducks, and many others.
The cows are called by the name of "pruggy". They give about a gallon of milk each. Calves answer to "suck, suck". Pigs are called "geoh, geoh". Dogs have different names, such as Dot, Rebel, Fly, Kitty, and many others. Cats are called "pussy, pussy" or "minnie, minnie". Hens come for "chuck, chuck" and chickens for "chickie, chickie". People call ducks by the name of "tweet, tweet, tweetie", and when they are being put in people say "cro, cro, cro" meaning "to bed".
There is no story connected with any of these except one about the cows. There is a man by the name of Neddie Rogers who used to have his cows out in the fields at night. He used to give them very good feeding and was wondering why they weren't giving any milk. There was an old woman living near this man, and she was supposed to have magical power.
