   oven to bake. This is how the people made potato bread. They got potatoes and boiled them, when they were boiled they mashed them and let them cool. Then they mixed the mashed potatoes with flour and they put them on a griddle to bake.
   Long ago the people made boxty bread and this is the way that they made it. They got raw potatoes and peeled them. Then they got a grater and grated the potatoes. They also put them in a cloth to squeeze the juice out of them. They mixed them with flour and salt and when they had that done they put it on to bake. This is how they made pancakes and they made them mostly on Shrove Tuesday. They got flour and milk and mixed them together and baked them.
   They made soda bread the very same way that the people make it nowadays.
