- There is a holy well in the townsland of Terlicken and it is called St. Patrick's well. It is said that St. Patrick passed through this place on horse-back and the track of the horse's hoof is on a stone at the well. The water is not used because of its being blessed.
If you had warts and visited this well for nine mornings and washed the warts with the water it would cure them.
There is another holy well in the townsland of Clonfide and it is called St. Patrick's well also. St. Patrick visited this place also on horse-back and the horse fell and the track of his knee is on a stone at the well.
