    goes about the country from house to house. He always expects tea. He drives cattle and mends harness. He can never wear a cap because he was hurted in the war. Another man who goes around like that is Kit Mc Giff. He sells baskets and brushes and walking sticks. The "singer" Crowley goes around too. He sings "The wearing of the Green" "Wait till the clouds roll by" and other songs. He charges one penny for every song.
    The tinkers have a special language of their own. It is called the Romany language and it is hard to understand it.
