- There are only two forges in this district. They both belong to Morans, but they are no relations to each other. Brian Moran has a forge in Balroe. His ancestors were all blacksmiths but they did not work in the same forge as he is working in at present. They worked in a forge on Slanemore hill. The door of the forge is the shape of a horse shoe. There is only one fire in the forge. It has a corrugated roof. The bellows is made of horse-skin outside and it is wooden and iron inside.
