When the cat sits with her back to the fire it is a sign of rain. When the hills appear near bad weather is indicated and when a dog eats grass it is a sure sigh of rain. When the goat comes home in the evenng and the sheep comes down the field bad weather is near. When the curlew begins to cry it is a sigh of bad weather.
