Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)more than they are eaten now. People did not eat late at night. Certain kinds of food were eaten on special occasions. People eat eggs on Easter sunday. Wooden bowls were used before cups became common.
- Bread was made from wheat oats and corn grown locally. The flour was made locally. My mother does not remember querns, but she often heard of their being in use.The different kinds of bread which were used are, oaten-meal bread wheaten-meal bread and rye bread, potato cakes, boxty bread, and pancakes.
