  1. Shops were not common in olden days.
    Buying and selling after mass is not practised nowadays.
    People would get goods and pay for it in with work or money. Labour was given for goods long ago.
    Shops long ago were built of stone. long ago the markets were held in Mr Claffeys field but it is not held now adays.
    There are very few accounts of dealers exept of a dealer in feathers and rags who visited districts in former times these still come. Long ago the food was a lot cheaper than the present day.
    The only market that is any where around us is in Kilbeggan and Mullingar.
