named "Donal Magauire" went through this hole one night, and when he was returning he had his pockets full of apples. He was about to pass out through the hole when he was pulled into the well, and he was never seen or heard of again.

  2. A story is told about a priest who said Mass in the Arch-Hall district.
There is a wood near Arch-Hall castle and it is called the "Decoy Wood." In the middle of the wood there is a height made of earth, and every second Sunday Mass used to be said on the side of it.
When the Mass would be finished, the priest would dig a hole in the mound, and he would wrap the "Mass Book" in a piece of cloth, and place it in the hole and then he would cover it over with clay.
