They also reared their own sheep and spun the wool into yarn and wove it into blankets and flannel and frieze cloth for clothing for the men. They also made long frieze capes for the men, which they called "thrusties." They also made shirts of flannel for the men.
A Local Hero.Long ago a man named John Glachen from the parish of Fletcherstown, won great fame for himself at the "long jump."
