  1. The food in old times.
    The people had three meals a day in former times breakfast, dinner and tea.
    The people worked in the morning before their breakfast. Porridge was eaten for the breakfast. Bacon and vegetables were eaten for the dinner. There was porridge in the evening but some of the rich people had tea.
    Some people used to eat potatoes at every meal. Oat bread and Rye bread were eater, it was made on griddles.
    Meat was not often eaten the people could not afford to bury it.
    Fish and vegetables were eaten.
    People did not eat late at night. Special food was eaten at Christmas and Easter.
    Tea was used in this district about three hundred years ago.
    Mugs were used before cups became common.
