- Much time is spent by the young people before they can take any of these occupation to themselves.
In this district we have three or four old crafts namely the forge work, carpenter, Building and [?] making.
The Blacksmith shoes horses, and makes cart-wheels. He also repairs harrows and plloughs.
The carpenter makes carts and barrows and lots of things used on the farm. He also repairs things.
The Cooper is in others words a churn maker and maker of dairy utensils. It is a very tricky job.
The Mason at the present time is a very good trade as there are a lot of new houses being built by the Government in this country.
Much employment has been given to men in the last few years at this trade.
The Lime-burner as we call him is a very busy man. he has to supply the Builder with lime, which is made from stone and colum burned for forty eight hours.
