  1. The Care of the Feet.
From the very earliest times the people of Ireland have worn some kind of shoes. The children at present go barefooted in Summer and you will see some poor children in their bare feet all the Winter. Some people made boots for themselves and they are repaired in the district.
The water is put into a basin and salt and washing soda in it to wash the feet.
There are two shoemakers in the district.
Clogs were worn and made locally. Some people wear them still. Leather was never made in the district.
There are no sayings or proverbs connected with the care of the feet.
