He was no sooner on his feet when he'd get another "scutch" which would flatten him again. After one very severe fall while trying to get up a voice told him it would be safer for him to go home. He took his advice and reached home safely. He lived on the Mill Lane below Kilmessan Station. His proper name was Christopher. His son, Johnny, told this story to my grandfather and he is dead about thirty years and was seventy eight years old when he died.
