down under it and began to play a tune. A girl came along with two buckets. She dipped one in the well but when she heard the music she dropped the buckets and ran towards home because she thought it was the good people.
He ran after her shouting "Come back, come back. I'm a human being", but she only ran the faster and when she got home she fainted.
Tom was taken by the good people and a reward was offered by the Navan Accademy for anyone who would tell where he was.
The good people kept him for two weeks and he was footsore, sick and sad when he got home. The first place he could remember was in Oldcastle. He was caretaker of the Accademy in Navan and he died there.
