    In this valley stood a monastery hundreds of years ago and the monks said they would use nothing but Holy water.
    A stream was discovered and this led to the discovery of the well now known as Trinity Well.
    A man went on Trinity-Eve at 12 o'clock for a bucket of water but instead of water he had a bucket of wine.
    From time immemorial pilgrims visited this well and as many as could went at midnight on Trinity-Eve for the first of the waters. This custom has also died out.
    Blessed Oliver Plunkett used to baptize children at the well and baptizing them in the name of the Blessed Trinity gave its name to the well and ever since it has been called Trinity Well.
