    14. The cure for a sty is to get nine gooseberry thorns, and point every thorn to the eye and when finished, throw thorns over right shoulder. This was done for three days.
    15. If nose starts to bleed put a penny on the key of a door on the back of the neck and it will stop bleeding.
    16. The cure of a wart is to get a snail, rub it to the wart three times saying, "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost". Then stick the snail in a thorn bush and as the snail withers the wart will be going away too.
    17. Cut a potato up and keep a bit on the corn for a good while and the corn will go away.
    18. For a lump get a piece of chicken-weed and cut it up into small pieces. Boil it with lard and apply this poultice to the lump and it will soon disappear.
    Number five cure was used by Anne Keelan and Paddy Barnes of Woodtown, Adee. Anne Keelan lived in Hunterstown Ardee.
    19. There is a cross shaped on Harlestone lane leading to Newrath and it is said that if a drop of water is taken on a pin from it and placed on a wart it will cure it.
    To cure a wart get a potato and cut it in nine pieces. Rub each piece to wart
