    Foster and his agent was Mr Mc Mahon.
    In front of the chapel there are little clump gates from which three estates branch out. The clump was in Lord Clermonts estates. The ground on which the chapel is built and also the adjoining estate was owned by Sir Vere Foster, and the paddock is on the land of Marlmount House.
    Sir Vere Foster and his family have been settled in this district many years, and they were looked upon as good landlords. There are not many landlords nowadays as practically al lthe land is owned by the Government. Sometimes people were not able to pay the rent, evictions took place and they went into the workhouses, which were built for that purpose. If people put windows in their houses or put chimneys on their houses their rent was raised and if they were not able to pay it then they were evicted. If people made any improvements on their
