- Nearly every district has its own tradesman. The commonest of these trades are tatching, spinning, and weaving. Long ago spinning and weaving were carried out by the old people of this district.
Long ago the people used to weave their own clothes and spin their own yarn. Some of the old people made little baskets out of rushes and wicker. Soap was made from fat of the animals.
Candles are made from tallow and when wax candles are needed they are rolled in wax. Linen used to be spin by the old people of this district.- Bailitheoir
