Óir ibhfolach.
There is a fort in Knockliscrane which is said to be haunted. it is supposed that there is a crock of gold buried and that there is a cat minding it. It was said that three men named Micheál og, Fox and Frawley went searching for the gold. There was a man in Glendine named Dudah who had knowledge. He told them how many perches it was from the house. After digging for some time, they met a flag- stone and under it was a cat who spat at them. They ran away leaving the hole open.when the spot was again examined, the hole was closed. it has never since been searched.
Dudah told the men that if they that if they had got the gold he himself would be killed by the fairies.
it is said that the gold will be yet found by a man called Fox.
