    is a very low valley and it is a wet and swampy place. There is another place called the Curragh and it is so-called because nothing grows there but rushes.
    There is another townland called Ballinacarra which means the place of the cities, because it was a large city long ago and it was drowned and only one house was saved because it was on the top of a hill, and this hill is called the Island. There is another place called Inchovea which means the Island of the beach trees.
