  1. St. Nicholas's Well is situated in the vicinity of Moorstown Castle, which is now in ruins.
The Castle is supposed to have been built during the Norman period and was used as monastery.
There is a disused burial-ground around the Castle, but the tombstones and other marks have been buried beneath the debris of the Old Walls.
There is a large flat stone which is supposed to mark the last resting place of a one-time Bishop of Cashel.
The well itself is surrounded by a low wall which is built in the shape of a horse-shoe.
A Pattern was held there annually up to about fifty years ago.
It was customary to throw offerings of money into the Well which had a wooden bottom to prevent the coins from sinking.
