- Seventy years ago there was a Minister by the name of Mr. Trainor living in Glebe house Drombane. In the fall of the year four young men one of whom was James Brien from Drombane went at 11 oclock to rob the kitchengarden. They had not long been inside when they were hunted by something in the shape of a roll of a wool.
Three of the men crossed Ballyuicter river and got away. James Brien got on to the road and hastened home thinking he was safe. But when he reached Thomas Byan's cross the wool was there before him. He has to run at his best from that to his own gate a distance of one hundred yards.
