Hiccough
There lives a man in this district named Bon Guiney. He used to get the hiccoughs very often. One day he met a man who told him to swing off the rafters for a half an hour. He did as he was told and it cured him. If you had a hiccough you should take nine mouthfuls of water.
Whitlow.
A Whitlow is as red sore which a person gets on the top of their finger. To cure a whitlow you would get a potátó and scrape a hole in it. The bits of the potátó you would scrape out would be put up to the Whitlow. This is supposed to ease the pain and heal the whitlow.
