home water from it to their sick. A strange woman came to live in the place and it was not known whether she believed in St Patrick or not. One day she took clothes to the well to little them on a flat stone. After that the people ceased to do rounds there or to take holy water as any more cures did not take place. The people said that it was the was the woman's fault that this occurred she went away from the place and was unknown. Everybody who visited the well always left something behind them such as a medal a rosarybeads or a penny. The well is now overgrown with bushes but the water is never used for household purposes.- Faisnéiseoir
