Certain people go from house to house thatching, and getting paid so uch by people of the house.
A lot of people are engaged in fishing and fowling in my district. They fish for trout and salmon and they sell them to the people of the parish.
The fowlers shoot for pheasants, rabbits, wood cock, partridge and wild duck. Carpenters are very useful men to have around the place.
They make cars and wheels and everything we want.
There were three smiths in this parish long ago, but only one remains now, and he is doing a great trade.
They used shoe horses, asses and jennets, and they used make gates, shades; ploughs, harrows and bands of wheels and they used make other instruments of iron too(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
