    and the walls broke away and there was nothing left except the foundation. Then the foundation was covered over. About two years ago, when the new water main was being laid, some mortar and big stones were found, and some people say that it was some of the foundation of the old Castle; it is also said that it was from this Castle that Castlepoint got its name.
