This map was there for years, until the roof went into ruins. The wind and rain peeled the concrete off the wall, and so destroyed the map. The roof was later settled, and a stone bearing the following inscription 1782 M was found, and is still to be seen.
- On the border of Coolmore wood, which is in the Parish of Monkstown, Co. Cork, there stands an old tower.
There are no doors or windows in it, only the frames. There are very big stones in the walls, which is chiefly the cause, that it has withstood(continues on next page)
