The birds seen in a farmyard are turkeys, geese, ducks and hens Turkeys are very useful, but hard to rear as the wet days destroy them, but on a fine sunny it is a pretty sight to see a flock of young turkeys running around, especially if they know you are going to feed them.
People around here genearly hatch their own eggs, but also get one or two doz. from the Station. These are stamped so that the people can distinguish them from their own.
