    vinegar and applying it to the wart, the curing stuff must not be let on for more than three hours. Apply fresh every day.
    Hicoughs were cured by a teaspoonful of common vinegar.
    A wasp's sting was remedied by rubbing the affected parts with raw onion.

  2. Local Cures

    Long ago people had several cures which were handed down from the older people.
    Whooping-cough was cured by drinking remains of milk which a ferret had left after drinking. Long ago a man approaching on a white horse would be asked for a cure for Whooping cough. This would answer whatever it was. Measles were cured by going under a donkey three times
