    Hicoughs were cured by a teaspoonful of common vinegar.

  2. Long ago people had several cures which were handed down from the older people.
    Whooping-cough was cured by drinking remains of milk which a ferret had left after drinking. Long ago a man approaching on a white horse would be asked for a cure for Whooping cough. This would answer whatever it was. Measles were cured by going under a donkey three times
