  1. In the days gone by rich people used wear boots at fifteen but the poor people never wore boots. The children nowadays go barefooted to school in the Summer only, and that only the very poor.
    The water used in washing of the feet is thrown into a special hole in the haggart.
    There are two shoe makers in my district. It has been a tradition in their families for many years back. At the present time shoemakers are not so frequently found as the bigger amount of our footwear is purchased ready-made.
    Clogs were worn in this district about twenty years ago. There was no leather ever tanned in this district.
    Boots wer made of dog's skin long ago for dancing.
