    and another near the river Kiatra. The teacher in the Kiatra school taught Irish and Latin and the three R's as reading writing and Arithmetic werre called. He wrote a poem in Irish about the river Kiatra and here is one verse of it:-

    Ach fear amháin abhí ar buille.
