  1. I
I have wandered by far famed Killarney.
With its sceneries splendid and fine.
But its lakes and its mountains can never.
Be compared to that dear home of mine.
    II
That home I am leaving in sorrow.
For never a country will seem.
So fair as those haunts of my childhood.
By the "Banks of the Araglen Stream".
    III
Oh! oft have I roamed in my childhood.
Through the streets of old storied Kiskeam.
And twenty short years have lived happy.
On the "Banks of the Araglen Stream".
    IV
And now farewell dear friend and companions.
For both I'm to leave thee behind.
But no matter where ever I wander.
Old memories are dear to my mind.
Yes thoughts of thee ever shall haunt me.
And the scenes around dear old Kiskeam.
Where Desmond's green banners are waving.
Oer the "Banks of the Araglen Stream".
