  1. The Leipreachan is known in my district as the Pluaracan. He lives under a mushroom and is supposed to smoke a pipe. He is dressed in green with a red cap which is pointed. He is about a foot high. One day a man caught a leipreachan and the leipreachan told him to mind out but the man kept his eyes on him. The man threatened him that he would kill him. The leipreachan told him where the gold was. He went and dug it up. He found a box and a note. He read the note and he was told to work at his trade, and he did and he won his fortune. They are looked upon as being friendly beings. The leipreachan often helped human beings. Their chief trade is shoe making.
