- To the north of the village and on the road-side is the field of the Broken-Hole. A stream which finds its source in Meelin Bog disappears through the Broken Hole in an underground passage through the Limestone quarries of Meelin. Denis McAuliffe Meelin is the owner.
- The Páirc is the name given to a small plot of ground in the Village of Meelin and owned by Diarmuid DeBrún, Meelin. It probably got its name from the fact that it is surrounded by high benches of limestone rock.
- The Fuarán is the name of a field having a very exposed situation on the north-eastern side of Meelin Hill. It is owned by a farmer named Timothy Browne, Meelin, Newmarket, Co Cork.
