The outlying stone is 12 feet 7 inches high and 7 feet 6 inches in girth. Is inclines slightly from the perpendicular. Apex is sharply pointed and there is a circular notch towards foot of stone. Distant from this 11 feet 8 inches is a prostrate gallán 14 feet long 3 feet wide and 11 to 14 inches thick. Distant from this 11 feet 7 inches is the nearest of the five erect galláns (each about four feet by 2 by 1 ) which form a circle. Borlase calls the big gallán Dallan-crom-na thittim. As a rule these outstanding galláin are not quite perpendicular. This probably is what Borlase’s name would mean (i.e.,"falling".)
