  1. A funny Story
    Once upon a time there lived an old man and his wife a little distance from Ballinadee village, they were known to be misers by the people of the neighbourhood.
    They had in their possession a large amount of gold. The woman had a habit of counting the gold every night before retiring. One night she was sitting by the fire as usual counting money. Her husband had at that time gone to bed. Suddenly the door was burst open and in rushed a party of robbers.
    The robbers demanded the gold from the woman but she replied she had no gold, then they went to the bed room and approached the old man in the bed. They threatened him under pain of death to hand them the gold. He gave what he had to them. In the meantime while they were in the bed room the woman, put all the gold into a pot and placed the list on it.
    While she was hiding the money there happened to be one of the robbers outside the door looking in through the keyhole. He had observed where she had hidden the money, and when his comrades came out he told them what had happened. Immediately they rushed in again and searched the pot to their great delight they found the gold in it and too it with them.
