Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Rib-leaf is the most common herb in our land. This herb grows in all kinds of land both good and bad. This, when cut up very small, and mixed with food is very healthy for all kinds of young fowl.
    Wid Sage grows on all soils. There is a great cure in this plant for a hurt. It should be boiled well for an hour. Then the water should be drained from it into some clean vessel and should be left to cool for five minutes. Then it is drank and the plant is thrown away.
    The Nettle is another herb commonly known by all. This, when mashed up with food is a great prevention from "pip" both in turkeys and chickens. The pip is a contageous disease in young fowl.
    The Dandilion is another wee little herb. It is a great cure for chest disease.
    The Dock Root is a weed which nearly grow in every field and on every fence. The seeds of it are a cure for horses cough.
