Ar an leathanach seo

    Bod moss found in bogs, when dried, is used instead of cotton wool and yellow dye is obtained from it. Dye is also got from bilberries, or hurts which are gathered during June and July.
    Nettles are used as a vegetable for food, they are also chopped and mixed with meal for young turkeys. Chickenweed mixed with meal is given to fowl.
    Herbs were used extensively in this neighbourhood for the cure and alleviation of disease in former times and sufferers were known to be relieved and cured by their means. I cannot however get any further information about the herbs used. The appear to be long forgotten.
