Always loving, kind and ture,
In February when birds do meet,
If you wed, you'll dread your fate,Marry in April if you can,
Joy for maiden + for men,
Marry in May, you'll rue the day,
Marry in June, when the roses blow,
O'er the land and seas you'll go.
They who in July do wed
Will have to labour for their bread."It is considered unlucky to have a corpse in the church when the bride goes in.It is also considered unlucky to get married during Lent, or on a Monday or Friday.(continues on next page)
