  1. There are two forts in Ballybane called Lisavoher and Lisavogy. It is said that there was a blue light seen in the fort called Lisavogy. It is said that there were fairy cows and pigs seen around the fort.
The people say that there were tiny men seen drinking tea. It is also said that there were buckets heard noising inside in the fort. The people also said that a certain man was coming down Gorteenula he met a funeral. It is also said that the same man when going down to the mill heard a loud cry. When he was going up to the fort he heard a running of horses and whips beating off them and the horses were running around the fort.
All the old people say it was the Danes built these forts but I think those forts were there before the came to our country at all. It is also said that there is a pot of gold hidden away down in one of the forts. There are two big coloured dogs minding that pot of gold.
