  2. One time two cousins of a great grandmother came to visit her before the Pattern as they wanted to go to the Pattern. The Saturday before the Pattern Sunday they stayed up all night ironing their clothes and polishing their shoes. They went to bed early in the morning as they were very tired. They slept very soundly all day on the Pattern Sunday till night. When they woke they were sad because the people of the house did not call them to go to the Pattern. It would be a much wiser thing to go to bed first and they would be able to get without being called.
