Ar an leathanach seo
- We have a churn at home. It is about two feet in height. It is one foot wide at the top and two feet wide at the bottom. The sides of the churn are round. Our churn is eight years old. The various parts of the churn is called the dash the lid and the joggler. There is no mark on the side of the churn or bottom.
The churning is done by the woman of the house. The churning is done twice or three times a week in Summer and Winter. Strangers who come in during churning help at the work. I do not know why. It takes half an hour to churn. The churning is always done by hand. The dash is always moved upwards and downwards when it is done by hand.
The people would know when butter is made because it would come up on the top of the churn. Water is poured in during churning. It is poured into(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
