  2. Sullivan a poet from Lahanaght went down the country digging potatoes. He come in a cold wet evening after digging and he didnt see a bit of the fire. He said
    Is deachair ár dtír a cháineadh
    Tá bó á dhíol ar cháirde
    Lón ar linn a gáthair
    Móin i dtrínnse i dtón a tighe agat
    Agus dóithin Rí 'ár gráta
    There was a cow-boy sitting by the fire without
