Amongst a crowd I espied a damsel
That was both handsome and free from pride
Do mheasas gurbh í Juno í Pallas no Venus
No an bhean do thug léirsgrios ar cathair na Trae
Dfúig gan brígh mé gan puinn céile
Agus gur bhuail Cupid claon mé le dart im chroise.
