- In my district there are many classes of travelling folk which come into the houses, such as pedlars, tinkers, tramps, sweeps and gipsies.
The tinkers come into the houses of the people very often they bring a basket with them in which they keep little things and they sell them to the people and they sometimes exchange them for other things.
Then the tinkers go into a house they usually ask for tea, flour, milk , bacon or clothes. They sometimes go around in families on carts and in bands in caravans, the names of the families which come to my district are the Lawrences and the McGinleys. They make cans and other things from tin and they sell them to the people. They live in camps by the roadsides and they sometimes stay in the same for one week
Once a year a pedlar comes to my district he sells men's clothes and(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
