Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The name of my native village is Culliagh, it is in the |Parish of Whitehall, in the barony of Ballintubber and in the Co Roscommon.
    It is surrounded by the Bog of Allan, The Slieve Bourn mountains and the villages of Scramogue and Killinordan.
    The soil is rich, partly bog and partly upland.
    It is thickly populated. There are about thirty houses in it with an average of about four people in each. Therefore on the whole there are about one hundred people living in it.
    Most of the houses are thatched and whitewashed. A few new houses have been built recently.
    There are three old men living still one is a real old "Seanside"
    It has great advantages, for
