- There is a fort in Gortoose about a half mile from Culliagh. It is in the field of a man named Murray.
It is a big fort it consists of about ten tress. People do not believe there is any treasure in it, but at around twelve o'clock at night a man holding a lantern stands over a stream near by. If a person passes late this man comes out before and he or she has to let the light pass, it is so dazzling.
In the summer-time when people are making the hay some men have seen fairies shaking hay around the fort
