    Local Marriage Customs
    Mondays and Wednesdays are the principal day for the people of my district to get married, but long ago they would get married on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
    Lent and Advent is the only time of the year that people are not allowed to get married.
    Match Making
    When a boy and girl are getting married the old custom of match making is held in my district. The boy and girl meet in town and make the match. Then the parents of the girl will go and see the house and farm of the boy and what fortune he wants and if the parents are satisfied they will be married. Then the bride and bride groom will go to town ad they will buy the ring and they will be married.
