- In olden times there were a lot of games played on November Night and stories told. Specially, one of the most favourite games that are played was ducking for apples in a tub of water and hanging apples out of the ceiling. The people also make a cake with a ring and nut and sloe. According to the peoples stories the nut is for an old maid, and the sloe is for a death, and the ring is for a marriage.

- The Feast of St Martin is held on the 11th of November. The people kill a fowl. The blood is usually sprinkled on the back of the door and in the four corners of the house in honour of God and St Martin. It is said that there is a cure in it.
